"I adore the wedding photography industry, and feel blessed to be able to provide a service that fills people with so much joy."

Kate founded Kate Fierek Photography + Film in 2011, and has worked with her team to photograph weddings at over 90 venues throughout the South West in the last twelve years. The name 'Orchard Photography + Film' was introduced in 2024, but the team of talented photographers and videographers remains the same.

Kate has edited over 300 weddings, and has had work featured in several national bridal magazines. She's an accomplished editor, and uses up-to-date techniques and software to lovingly polish each image individually.

Kate has been a passionate photographer since childhood, and started professionally as a photo journalist in 2009. Alongside this she studied as a mature student for a BA Honours degree in Digital Art & Technology, and achieved a BA Honours degree.

In 2011, whilst nearing the end of her degree, Kate made the move from photo journalism to wedding photography, and has now spent over ten years working full-time in the industry. She expanded the business five years ago, and recruited a small team of talented photographers and videographers.

"Its a joy to work with such talented individuals. Our skill-sets compliment each other perfectly, and we've created thousands of wonderful wedding images together."

Kate has a strong creative eye. She specialises in natural-light wedding photography, and loves the spontaneous moments of a wedding day.

"We believe that, although important, wedding photographers & videographers shouldn't rule a wedding day. We have an unobtrusive style, and we're happy to work in the background when required."

"One of my favourite parts of the wedding day is the newlywed portraits. We focus on a natural style, but we're ready to offer gentle posing advice and guidance at key times. This part of the day is often quite laid back, as we find that happy, relaxed couples make for far better photographs."

Orchard Photography + Film was shortlisted as a finalist for the 'Best Bespoke Wedding Photographer' in the prestigious South West Wedding Awards - which spans six counties across South West England.
